Valentine's Coffee Morning

Thank-you to all who came and spread the love at our Valentine's Coffee Morning on Saturday.  It was a lovely day and we raised vital funds for the Centre.  So thank-you from the bottom of our hearts!




Santa Dash!

On Saturday 17th December, three of our Cat Care Assistants, Christie, Tes and Gemma, ran a mile through Exeter High Street dressed as Santas!  The event was Exeter City FC's Santa Dash, with half of the funds raised going to the Football Club and the other half going to our Adoption Centre here at Axhayes.  Thanks to all those who sponsered us!


Christmas Mince Pie and Coffee Morning

On Saturday December 10th our Friends of Axhayes Group hosted a mince pie and coffee morning.  It was a great success:  lots of funds were raised for the Centre, and some cats found new homes!  Thanks to all who helped make the day a good one, and thank-you to all who came and entred in the festive cheer.


Firewalk!


"Thank-you!"  to all those who supported us on the night of our Firewalk, and all those who sponsered us; also to Cliff Mann and his team who made it possible for 25 of us crazy cat-lovers to walk over a 20' bed of hot coals to raise money for a desperately needed feral garden at Axhayes.  We'll up date you on the progress as the sponsership starts to roll in.  Thanks also to all the staff, volunteers and the Friends Of Axhayes, and for St David's Veterinary Group for sponsering the event....What a flaming good night! 













Street Collection!

On Saturday 24th September, a band our of dedicated volunteers went out on the streets of Exeter to try to raise funds for the Centre for a feral garden and a socialisation room.  It was a very successful day, and all in all we managed to raise £350 from the generous cat-loving public.  Thanks to all who took part and all who donated, it's greatly appreciated!

Devon County Show!

Thanks to all who came and suppoted us at the Devon County Show this May!  We met lots of great people and were able to help lots of cats in need.  Watch this space for our summer events!

 

Open Day!

Our annual Open Day was on Sunday 15 May 2011.  This was the big event at Axhayes, a high profile event with radio and newspaper coverage.  The main aims of the day were to re-home as many cats as possible, and raise vital funds for the Adoption Centre.  Without a large amount of help from the cat-loving public, this event couldn't have een the great success that it was, and we'd like to say a big thank-you to all who came and joined in, and helped in any way, and we hope to see you again next year!

Exeter City FC's Youth Day!

We were present at Exeter City FC's annual Youth Day raising awareness and vital funds for the Centre.  A good day was had by all, and Chips the Cat enjoyed larking about and meeting his public!


Easter Eggstravaganza!

Our Easter Eggstravaganza was egg-cellent!  Everyone had fun in the sun and enjoyed the trail around Axhayes winning an Easter egg at the end.  Roll on next year!
