Our branch of cats protection was founded in 1988 and covers the areas between Thamesmead, S E London and Meopham, Kent.
We are always happy to welcome new members and are always looking for loving homes for our cats in care.
Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs. We work in three main areas trying to achieve this:
Homing - Finding good homes for cats and kitten in need, please visit our Adopt A Cat section to see the cats which are currently looking for new loving homes.
Neutering - Supporting and encouraging the neutering of cats and kittens
Information - Improving people's understanding of cats and their care by working with the public providing information and advice. We can provide leaflets and information on the following:
Thinking Of Getting A Cat?, Welcoming Your New Cat Home, Caring For Your Cat, Feeding, Neutering, Feline Behaviour, Cats And Children, Cats And Allergies, Moving Home and many different Veterinary Guides for different diseases such as Hyperthyroidism.
Cats Protection formed in 1927, Cats Protection has grown to become the UK's leading feline welfare charity. We now rehome and reunite 55,000 cats and kittens every year through our network of 29 adoption centres and over 250 volunteer-run branches.
Donations -
Donations are a vital part of our work, without them we would be unable to rescue, treat, rehome and neuter all the cats which desperately need our help.
Please if you would like to donate either by membership (£7.50 per year), one off payment via cheque or by creating a standing order contact Janet Piper our treasurer directly on 01322 611 911
