Cat Of The Moment = PATCH

Congratulations!  Yippee!  Whoopee Doo!  And many other exclamations of joy!  But for all the wrong reasons concerning our little forgotten boy, Patch.  He has just celebrated a complete year of being totally ignored.  Patch came to us in January 2011 under very sad circumstances, as his owner had just passed away, leaving his beloved pet to fend for himself.  As comfortable as we made our pen for him, it is a poor substitute for the complete freedom and love that his former home had given him.  Bereft of his stable and caring environment, poor little Patch, overawed and obviously frightened, withdrew into himself - so much that he now actively avoids almost all contact with people, only venturing close when he knows it is near feeding time.  Why he should be so overlooked is a mystery, as all he needs is a chance to get his paws back under himself, and be given an opportunity to show that he is a proper cat, and not just a furtive shadow lurking in the background.  The fact that Patch happens to be FIV, makes no difference to him, other than a limited area to wander about in, and doesn't stop him from being able to express his gratitude to whatever kind soul is prepared to offer him a more promising future than the one facing him in his current claustrophobic pen.  Anniversaries are meant to celebrate pleasant occasions - can you make this particular one happen for poor little Patch ?
