Fundraising generates valuable income which enables us to continue helping cats in our area. We need new volunteers so that we can hold more events during the year to increase our fundraising efforts.
The branch currently holds two major fayres annually (spring and autumn), as well as having stalls at other events. This year our volunteers also held garage and house clearance sales, a sponsored walk, photo competition, open gardens and one of our fosterers even undertook a sponsored parachute jump to support the branch.
We are planning a plant sale for early 2012.
Some of the things you could help out with:
- making and donating a cake, or growing some plants to sell
- helping to set up a stall at a fayre, helping running it for a couple of hours or helping packing away at the end of the day
- holding a collecting tin at a street or store collection
- transporting or storing goods for sale
- holding your own event and donate the proceeds (or some of them!) to the branch
