Adopt a cat

We have cats in FOSTER CARE who are looking to be rehomed.  As we do not have a cattery, our cats live with foster carers in their own homes - see our cats' pictures and details on our new style website!

Please ring our HELPLINE if you want to adopt a cat.  Leave a message on LINE 1.   It is really important for us to home cats in our care to the right family, so please leave your contact details and a short message. The HELPLINE is an answering service and our aim is to ring you back within 24 hours, sooner in most cases.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO OFFER A HOME TO ONE OF OUR CATS, PLEASE CONTACT US ON: 01282 693400

Once you have chosen your cat, we will contact you to have an informal chat. We will then arrange with you to come and visit the cat. If you are happy we then arrange a date for delivery and we bring the cat to you, this is so we can do a home visit, paperwork and you can ask any questions you have about your chosen cat. If this is your first cat that you have owned a home visit would be done first so you can be advised on everything you need for your pet. The home visit is done by very friendly cat loving volunteers, there is a cat suitable for every home so don't be put off by thinking you are not suitable.

Burnley & Pendle Cats Protection charges a nominal fee of only £50 for each cat/kitten you adopt.  We believe this is good value as each cat/kitten who comes into our care is given flea and worming treatments, has a full vet check: vaccinations, micro-chipping and neutering are also provided.  Your donations help to pay towards all these treatments.  In some cases, mainly with kittens, vouchers are provided for the 2nd part of the vaccination and neutering where applicable.  This means that you can have your chosen animal to come and live with you as soon as possible, provided that our terms and conditions are met.

We also have many cats who are on the HOME TO HOME scheme. We have a list of people who wish to rehome their cats who we cannot fit into care. We can pass these details on if we have nothing you are looking for. We do not get involved in any other way except passing details on. All animals on this list are neutered to our knowledge.
