FUDGE AND COCO (was Chocolate)
Here is a picture of Fudge and Chocolate (now Coco), adopted from you in November. As you will see they are completely at home and definitely lap cats! We love them to bits and they seem very happy.
I can't understand why people don't like black cats - they are the best!
TINK (was Tinkerbell)

I would just like to thank you for homing me with Andrew and Alexandra. I've been here four weeks now and I'm making myself right at home. My favourite toy is on an elastic band which makes me jump and run to grab it . I bring the toy into their bedroom early every morning to make sure they know that once I've had breakfast I'm ready to play. I've also got some catnip mice which I've stashed in a secret place and although they've searched and searched they can't find them anywhere. So Andrew got me some more, which are great to chew and play with.I've tried out all the chairs in the living room to see which is most comfy and I love sitting on laps - they know this by my loud purring noises. There are lots of great places to investigate in the house - if they leave a drawer or cupboard open I'm straight in there. I've been out in the garden a couple of times before the snow came, but not for long as its a bit chilly. I like sitting on windowsills and looking out at the garden.
CLEO (was Gypsy)
We have had our little Cleo (nee Gypsy) for 5 months now, she settled in literally on her first day at home.We reserved her immediately on seeing her and even though we didn’t have a cat basket, we took her home that same day in her foster mum’s cat basket as we just couldn’t wait to get her home. She is a delight, running around still like a kitten (even though she is 1 year old). It’s so lovely to come home to her in the evenings after a long day at work to see her delighted little face looking up and rolling all over the carpet. Thanks to Anja for fostering her before we took her home, I can’t imagine not having her with us.A big thank you to Cats Protection for letting us have her and continue all the good work.”
GIZMO AND LULU

Gizmo and Lulu are doing really well now. They were a little shy at first, but now are happy rolling over and having their tummys tickled, sitting on our laps and are even becoming good friends themselves. They have a nice garden to go and play in and are making use of the electronic cat-flap we spent two nerve-racking hours fitting into our door!
Two happy little felines :-)
EVIE (was Eve)
We thought we'd let you know how Evie is getting on.
She was extremely shy at first and it took several weeks for her to relax a bit - she still is very shy with some strangers. But when it's just us she seems extremely happy. She has an 'igloo' house in the utility room which she likes to use in warm weather, and a basket - the one in the picture - that she has in the hallway for the winter. Most evenings she
just spends on her favourite cushion on the sofa in the lounge though. She also loves her garden and went crazy the first few times she went outside.
She is the most tummy-tickle cat imaginable!! She rolls around on her back having her tummy tickled. She also loves being groomed so keeping her bits of loose fur under control isn't a problem at all. If she sees one of us using one of those lint-roller things to de-fluff ourselves she gets all jealous and wants it to be used on her. As predicted she is also a lappy cat and loves to cuddle up. We feel extremely fortunate that she came to live with us.
Thank you for all you and your team's help in helping us adopt Evie.

RAMBO (was Petal)
We adopted Roxy 3 years ago from cats protection- being deaf, she needed a safe, indoors home which we were able to give her.
Our dog Bolly was 13 at the time, and knew how cats worked. As you can see, they became utterly inseparable. !
Very sadly, Bolly died suddenly, aged 16. Roxy was clearly and immediately very unhappy. She used to try to see out of the front door to see if Bolly was out there.
We called cats protection to see if there was another deaf cat who might be a good friend for Roxy,
I got a call from Jacky- there was a kitten who would never reach cat size who needed a safe indoors home..
So that's how we were introduced to Rambo (then Petal).
We couldn't believe how tiny she was when we first saw her, and kinda funny looking too, but she was so cute and full of energy!
So, we took her home and slowly introduced them via a puppy cage.
R
oxy's behavior is back to normal, she is her old, independent self again and is much happier. Rambo has grown a fair bit, she now looks more like a kitten-sized cat and she's not funny looking anymore.
She had a great time over christmas, systematically destroying our christmas tree, still finding baubles in odd places!
She's a great addition to our home, and although the circumstance by which she came to live with us were very sad, we couldn't have a lovelier little kitten.
DAISY AND GRACE
Just thought I would send you a quick note to let you know how Daisy and Gracie are getting on. It's been nearly 6 months and to say they have settled in is an understatement! They are both very much at home! They are lovely cats - very friendly and affectionate. We feel very lucky to have found them
ANGEL
Angel came into CP care as a stray, she only had two weeks to go until she gave birth. She was a fantastic mum to her babies and once they were re-homed it was her turn to be adopted by a loving family. Angel has settled brilliantly into her new home, she is a very affectionate cat and her new owners are very pleased to have her.
MAX AND MILLIE
Millie and Max have been with us for 3 months now, and yes they have settled in! They like nothing better than to have a human slave sitting beside them tickling their tummies - all day for preference. But a warm sheepskin to sleep on, and the promise of a full food bowl twice a day comes a close second. It is so interesting taking on older cats, we have had youngsters before, so you could to some extent form their habits. These ones are set in their ways: only expensive food please - none of the cheap stuff. And I am hoping that come summer they will use the litter tray less and our large garden more. We have been invited to admire dead mice and one chaffinch, for which they got told off: as if that did any good! But otherwise they are lovely affectionate mogs, and we are delighted to have them.
BENSON
It's nearly a year since I've had Benson now so I thought I would send you a little update on how he is doing. He is getting on brilliantly and is really confident now and doesn't hide when people come round, he comes out and sits with us and enjoys a bit of attention! As you can see he has really made himself at home! He is a really lovely cat, playful, loves his treats and likes to sit on my knee in the evenings and is always waiting for me when I get home from work. He is quite mischievous but that just makes him even cuter (he always tries to get my dinner and he brought a mouse to my room that was still alive a little while ago which was nice, but it was my birthday that day so I think he was bringing me a present!). When I took him for his injections the vet said he was very healthy, good teeth, thick coat etc so I think all in all he is a happy boy!
HUGO
It's been a while since we adopted Hugo in early summer. At first it seemed that our resident cat, Minnie, wasn't going to get on with him, but we are so glad that we persevered because now they are good friends, as you can see from this photo. They play chasing games with one another which can get a little boisterous! Hugo is so placid and laid back and he's helping Minnie to become less wary and a much happier cat. Thanks ever so much for all the care you have shown to us as well as the cats.
PUSSYCAT
Just to let you know Pussycat who we adopted a couple of months ago is getting on very well now at home.
The first week she mostly hid behind the furniture but now she has settled in well. She is very curious and playful and likes running around chasing anything that catches her eye. She likes sleeping on the sofa, and chirps and miaows a lot especially at dinner and breakfast time.
Thanks for the advice you gave me on homing the cat and dealing with allergies which was very useful.
ALAN
Alan is 8 months old and is an ex-stray who was found in a shop window. When I visited him at his foster home he seemed very playful and laid back, even though he had only been there for 24 hours. After adopting him I considered changing his name but Alan just seemed to stick and he already comes when he's called!
Alan couldn't have settled in more perfectly. He is extremely cuddly, playful and loves to explore. The first time we let him out the cat flap he decided to climb the tallest tree in the garden and then introduce himself to the neighbours. Every day he goes out for hours but will always come back before dark for his tea and a cuddle. We also discovered he has a slight obsession with circle-shaped objects - his favourite toys to play with are rolls of sellotape, elastic bands and my hair bands (which he steals from my bedroom all the time). He is also fascinated with the fish tank and will sit and watch it for ages.
We are very lucky to have Alan and want to say a big thank you to the Cats Protection team.
Monty and Lola (was Bam Bam and Pebbles)
Monty and Lola, brother and sister, our gorgeous little bundles of loveliness and mischievousness! They arrived in October on my birthday and are a total delight to have around, they are so funny! They are also very very nosey and get into all sorts of mischief in their search for fun and games. Monty is bigger and fluffier, also bolder and therefore more daft and my! can that boy produce a stink - typical male! Lola is very affectionate and loves snuggling up for a cuddle.. although Monty tries to jump on her every minute of the day! They are affectionately known now as Mont-ster and Lols to us now and I think these names are very apt! Thanks to all the team (especially Shelagh) for everything. You rock. Truly.
Morpheus (was Little Man)
We originally adopted Morpheus when we was living with Cats Protection with his mother; they didn't get along very well but both seemed like lovely cats. We had a great feeling about Morpheus and decided to give him a home. He is a wonderful cat and shows us several sides of his personality every day! He is very playful and has oodles of energy that is always entertaining (except when he has found the odd mouse to bring indoors!) and we try our best to wear him out with his toys. He's also extremely affectionate and spends his evenings on our laps in the lounge, and then goes to bed with us and sleeps on his radiator bed (a typically quirky pose in the photo), which is just next to ours. During the day he loves to forage around our garden and beyond - although we have a theory that he never goes much further than 30 feet from our house! We're very grateful for Morpheus and want to say a huge thank you to Cats Protection for their work with us, Morpheus and all of the cats that they take in on a regularly basis.
Misty (was Princess)
Princess (now called Misty) has certainly turned out to be true to her name of Princess and although fondly known as Misty she hasn't lost her princess title or status.
When I went to see her for the first time, she bundled in to the room full of attitude and curiosity and started rubbing herself round mine and my boyfriend's legs, much to the amazement of her foster mum. I may have adopted her in the physical sense but she certainly chose and adopted me.
Princess had so much character and charm that I fell in love with her immediately and she has been an absolute welcomed addition to my (once) empty home. She's a joy to come home to and be around. She is a well mannered lady and has not torn my house to shreds or messed. She certainly has got her paws firmly under my table and I think she feels well and truly settled. She has me in fits of laughter when she plays with her glittery pink mouse I bought her, as she throws it up in the air and catches it and then runs around the house with it dangling from her mouth.
I would like to thank all the people involved with the Cats Protection for all their hard work and dedication and I think sometimes we forget what a joy our little feline friends can be to us and that wouldn't always be possible without the support and love the CP offers. Its a second chance for some of the older cats, who wouldn't normally get that and we shouldn't forget how much joy they can bring - just as much as a kitten.
Well done CP - keep up the good work and I'll always continue to support and promote you how I can. I've adopted from CP many times before and it will always be my first port of call.
