If you have lost or found a cat and live in our area, here are some steps you can take:
- Check the entries below. If you think that your lost cat is shown in the "Our Found Cats" section, or may have found a cat that appears in the "Our Lost Cats" section, please contact us straight away, quoting the L or F reference number which accompanies the cat's description.
- Notify us so it can be added to the website - you can do this either by telephone or email.
Please make sure you include the following details.
- Whether you are reporting a LOST or FOUND cat
- Your name, address, postcode and contact telephone numbers (for our records only)
- The date the cat was lost/found, and where lost/found if not home address
- A full description of the cat: sex, age, name, colour, hair type, breed (if pedigree), and any particular distinguishing features
- Whether spayed/neutered, microchipped or not, wearing a collar or ID
- A recent good clear photograph attachment in .jpg format.
The more information you are able to provide, the better the chance of matching it to other reported cases. It is also important that you let us know as soon as possible if the case is resolved so it may be closed and details removed from our records.
Please remember that the sooner you report your cat as missing, the better your chances of finding it again. Always thoroughly search your house, outbuildings and gardens and ask around your neighbours before reporting a cat as lost.
