Success stories

To All at Cats Protection,

It was a year in February that we adopted Mildred aka 'Milly' from yourselves and I thought I would send a few pictures on how she is doing.

Milly has grown in confidence so much this past year and has become such a little character. She is very chatty and likes to announce her entrance into any room with a loud 'meow' or two. She is very much a lap cat and as soon as my boyfriend or I sit down she is on the sofa and trying to curl up on us within minutes. Milly and her brother (Wilson, who we already had) have grown to love one another and like all brothers and sisters have their occasional spats. However, at breakfast they are often giving each other a sniff and kiss and as you can see in the attached picture they often sleep side by side in their radiator beds.

We hope you are all well at Cats Protection and thank you for bringing Milly into our home.

Kind regards,

Kim Bailey, Jason Cole, Wilson and of course, Milly!

DIESEL

DieselI adopted little Diesel who had been found covered in oil.  He was a quiet, shy little kitten… how things change. He has settled in brilliantly, is such a character, and is enjoying life to the full. Thank you for allowing us to adopt Diesel, we love him!

SIDNEY

SidJust thought I would give you a quick update on Sidney, he is a lovely boy and is full of mischief. He lives with our other two rescue cats but he is definitely in charge.
He doesn't get cystitis now and we have moved out to the country so he is happy wandering in the fields but spends most of his days sleeping on his chair & the dinner table! He is ver happy and purrs a lot!

Wolfie and WhiskersJust a few pics of Wolfie and Whiskers for you :-) they have both settled in brilliantly and we are enjoying them very much.

TILLY

Tilly As promised here as some photos of Tilly (previously Tinkerbell 2) settling into her new home.  She is the most lovely, bouncy, confident little cat who is full of fun!  She has settled in really well and in the space of just 5 days my other cat Mickey (I've included a picture of the handsome chap) has accepted her and I think they will end up being great friends.  Mickey can be a little aloof (after all he is older and much wiser) but Tilly thinks he is wonderful and is always bouncing up to him and touching noses! Tilly loves everyone (and they love her) She is using her new enclosed littler tray like an old hand and is also eating her biscuits very enthusiastically (at least twice as much as Mickey!) so although she is tiny at the moment a slightly tubbier tubby is probably and eventuality!  Mind you, she is of course very young and very active and in a couple of weeks time, just in time for spring, she can start investigating the garden and getting even more exercise...

Tilly

Thank you all for your care and kindness, you do such a wonderful job with all your cats.

TONKS

Tonks

Well, it’s been 3 weeks since I left you.....my name was Clarence but my new mum decided that I was more of a Tonks...what a Tonks is I have no idea, but that’s now my name. Anyway, my new home is great, mum has laid down a few ground rules, like when she calls the boys to dinner and they sit up the table apparently it doesn’t include me!!! And the big double bed with the cosy feather duvet is NOT MINE! Cheek!!! I can tell you I nearly packed my cat carrier and came back...but I was soon won over by some fresh chicken that was in my food bowl, so mum has ONE last chance to make it up to me...
I have had a few mishaps whilst here, a couple involve me walking along the top of the bath while the boys were in it and missing my footing....boy that stuff is wet!! Mum saved me but took her ages to stop laughing, so I went and laid on her bed...the wet patch soon stopped her finding it so funny.....and I did go off my dinner for a day...but I got caught sitting under the highchair whilst baby Edward dropped his fish finger to me!
I'm slightly embarrassed at the moment as I am now wearing a black collar with paw prints and a bell...A BELL, the shame of it!!!
I'm quite big now. But everyone says how friendly I am, and sociable, I jump onto anyone’s lap when they visit, just for a fuss...I don’t stop purring. Even in my sleep I purr!!! (I'd purr more if I was allowed on the BIG bed)...right time to go....I have a new game...mum has up lighting lampshades on the ceiling, if I sit on the edge of the chair and jump I......well I miss the lampshade, but I try again and again and again....one day I will land in it...

Lots of love TONKS XXX

GEORGE

GeorgeGeorge has been amazing with Zippy - especially when she was younger; she was so desperate for him to love her and play with her and he was really very tolerant. Now however, they really are best friends! Zippy doesn't settle if George is out without her and gets so pleased to see him when he comes back in that she jumps all over him and licks him to death! Zippy is mischievious all day long and you can't walk up the stairs without her racing you to the top but we wouldn't have her any other way!
George is thoroughly spoilt by everybody who comes round as he's so sociable and even if he's fast asleep upstairs he trots down as soon as he hears the doorbell. We got him a radiator bed in the winter to keep his achey hips warm and he loves it (even if he does sometimes end up with Zippy laying literally all over him in it because she wants to share!). We often say that we can't believe George was with you for so long because he's so lovely and cuddley, but in a way we're glad he was so that he was still there when we came in! We can't imagine not having the pair of them now.

Thank you for all you did for them both before we found them- they've made our house a home.George and pal

MADDISON & NIGHTSHADE

Maddison and Nightshade came to Cats Protection because their previous owner had too many cats to look after, they have both settled very well into their new home and are loved very much.
