Role Title:

Education Volunteer

 

How you can make a difference:

As a speaker, you will act as an ambassador for Cats Protection and play a key role in raising awareness of how the charity makes a big difference in the lives of thousands of cats and kittens in need each year across the UK.

 

What the role involves:

Through giving talks and holding information sessions for local community groups and in schools, you will raise awareness of the importance of feline welfare and help people to understand and encourage them to become involved in the work of Cats Protection.

 

Skills and experience required or could be developed:

  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of local community networks
  • Engaging with a variety of audiences from children to professionals
  • Confidence and passion for feline welfare

 

Time this role requires:

  • This is a flexible role with time commitment varying from a few hours a week to a few hours a month.

 

How we will support you:

  • Your contact for this role is John Brett, Community Education Officer, who will provide you with day to day support, guidance and direction
  • John Brett is your staff contact and will work with others to ensure you are informed of how you fit into the big picture and that you have a positive, enjoyable volunteering experience.
