Our
aim is to look after the welfare of cats in our area. As you can
imagine that covers a lot of things, from the rescue of stray and
unwanted cats and kittens, encouraging the neutering of all cats and
kittens, giving advice to cat owners and owners-to-be, re-homing
cats and kittens of all ages and we also run a Lost and Found
Register for the area.
How do we do it?
We don't have a shelter so we have to
rely on a number of volunteer fosterers who have pens in their gardens
to provide a temporary home for cats and kittens in our care. We
keep a list of cats who are not at present in our care (because there
is no room at the inn!) but who need new homes. Our Helpline can
offer advice and take details of those wanting to adopt or re-home a
cat. We also supply neutering vouchers to help those on low income.
We are all volunteers and we always need more people to help us with our
work..... to help with moving cats to new homes, home visits and our
varied fund raising events, which help to pay our vet bills and
enable us to buy more pens for our homeless cats. So, as you can see,
there's plenty to keep us all busy!
