What we do

We are a small group of volunteers who between us have 11 outdoor pens and/or spare rooms in our homes. We also have a small group fundraisers who can call on other supporters to help at events.

In common with other Branches, we never have enough volunteers, if you feel you have the time - no matter how little - please get in touch with or Lynn on 01358 721204 or Dorothy on 01358 723314.

During 2009, we re-homed 139 cats and kittens. At the end of that year we were caring for 33 cats, some of which had been with us for several months mainly because the were considered too old or because they were very timid. Thankfully all our long term cats have now been re-homed.

All our cats over six months old are neutered and most are vaccinated and microchipped.

In accordance with Cats Protection policy we visit all prospective owners in their homes, this helps us find the cat most suited to their lifestyle. For first time owners, we can give advice and answer any questions they may have.

If you are thinking about adopting a cat, please take a look at some of our cats currently waiting for homes.
