What we do

Formed in 1927, Cats Protection (CP) has grown to become the UK's leading feline welfare charity. We now rescue and find new homes for around 60,000 cats and kittens every year, through our network of 29 Adoption Centres and 260 voluntary-run Branches.

Being a branch

CP Branches, run by volunteers, span the length and breadth of the UK: from Uist in the Outer Hebrides to Helston in Cornwall!

Branch volunteers are dedicated people; many have jobs during the day and do CP voluntary work in the evenings and at weekends, please bear this in mind when contacting them. (eg Most Branches use answer phones during the day and respond to queries in the evening).
