FELINE RE-HOMING

The Haslemere Adoption Centre accepts Cats for Re-Homing from Various Sources, including other CP Branches and other Feline Rescue Organisations and the General Public. The Centre Assesses the Cats, provides necessary Veterinary Care and matches individual Cats with a New and Loving Home.

The Haslemere Centre re-homes cats over a wide area extending from the South Coast
northwards up to the M4 Corridor and from the western districts of Greater London out to Winchester.

Potential Adopters are Welcome to Visit the Centre during our Normal Daily Opening Period
11 AM to 3 PM - Excepting Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day

Not essential, but if you ring and make an appointment then delay will be minimised
as a Staff Member will be ready to meet you and show you the available cats

FELINE NEUTERING

Cats Protection champions neutering as the only effective way to reduce the number of unwanted cats in the UK. In particular, Cats Protection supports early neutering of kittens before they reach puberty, which is between the age of 4 to 6 months. The Haslemere Centre in consultation with our Veterinary Practice neuters Kittens at the age of 10 weeks, which is one week after their first vaccination. Neutering at this age is safe and ethical and allows all Haslemere Centre cats and kittens to be neutered before being re-homed

FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS TOWARDS FELINE NEUTERING

Cats Protection further supports feline neutering by granting financial assistance as explained below.

DOMESTIC CATS

Cats Protection offers Vouchers towards the cost of domestic feline neutering. The Voucher value available for a Male Cat is £20.00 and for a Female Cat it is £26.00.

FERAL CATS

Cats Protection will pay the full cost of neutering feral cats. The Haslemere Centre will loan traps for the purpose of catching feral cats in preparation for neutering.  If a feral cat has a clipped left ear, it signifies the cat has already been neutered.

OBTAINING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Please contact the Haslemere Centre and discuss your need. You may choose your preferred Veterinary Practice to carry out the neutering procedure. The Haslemere Centre sends the relevant Vouchers to the Practice and you arrange the date for the procedure direct with your chosen Veterinary Practice.
