Adopting a cat or kitten

Thinking of adopting a cat or a kitten from the branch? 

We home visit all prospective homes for our cats and kittens.  This gives you the opportunity to ask as many questions as you need, and for you to find out more about adopting a cat or kitten from Cats Protection.

When considering giving a home to a cat or cats, please consider that it is a commitment to a living creature and is a responsibility for the next 10 - 20 years.  We try hard to home cats based on their needs where they will be cared for their lifetime.  We appreciate that each of us have circumstances and lifestyles which can change over time which is why some cats come into branch care in the first place, and that is why we ask to think carefully about why you want a cat.

To give you peace of mind:

Our CATS and KITTENS are fully vet checked, neutered/spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and deflead, and come with 4 weeks free Petplan insurance.

The Petplan insurance can be renewed after this period of 4 weeks for any cat or kitten adopted from us, regardless of their age.

The cost to us of caring for each cat often amounts to approximately £260 per cat, in addition to the day to day expenses incurred such as food and litter.
