Education is an important part of our welfare work and we can organise talks to appeal to local community groups about caring for cats, responsible cat ownership, the history of Cats Protection, the work we do and the joys and satisfaction of volunteering.

These talks are tailored to the audience, which can range from young children to students and all sorts of social and friendship groups. We also run family activity sessions in the form of cat art workshops, where the work of the charity and cat welfare issues in general can be covered in a fun learning environment.

We often find that those who don’t currently own or maybe even like cats have a new-found respect for felines - and volunteers - after coming along and meeting us!
