Home A Cat

All the cats at our centre which are ready for homing...

  • have been vet checked
  • have had at least their first vaccination (against flu, enteritis and leukaemia)
  • have been neutered (if old enough)
  • have been treated for fleas and worms
  • have been microchipped
  • come with 4 weeks free insurance from Petplan

All this costs us well over £100

THE FIVE STEPS TO GETTING A CAT:

1 - FIND A CAT/KITTEN YOU LIKE
You are welcome to visit to view the cats and our staff will help direct you to the most suitable cat or kitten for your housing environment.

2 - ASK IF YOU CAN MEET THE CAT
If you find a cat you are interested in please ask if you can go in for a cuddle.

3 - NOW ASK ABOUT A HOME VISIT
When you have chosen a cat our reception staff will take some details from you. In addition to the questions our staff may have already asked we need to arrange a home visit to ask a few more questions and to see that the housing environment is safe and suitable for the cat you have chosen. Home visits are normally arranged within a week (often quicker) depending on availability of staff in your area. The areas we are able to cover are St Helens, Widnes, Warrington, Liverpool and Runcorn.

4 - VISIT OUR SHOP IN RECEPTION
When you return to collect your cat please spend a few minutes looking around our shop. We stock a wide variety of items for all your cat's needs, including starter packs which contain all the basic items you will need.

5 - SUPPORT US BY MAKING AN ADDITIONAL DONATION
There is a £50 Adoption Fee per cat/kitten, (this will increase to £60 from 1st Match 2012) this fee is the absolute minimum amount we need to carry on the work we do and so if possible please support us by leaving an additional donation to help towards our costs.  On average we will have spent around £150 on each cat  to try and ensure that you are taking a healthy cat and to provide care until a new home can be found.
