A Volunteer's Tale - Sue Hobson

My name is Sue Hobson and I started volunteering for Stourbridge, Dudley and Wyre Forest Cats Protection this year. I have always been passionate about cats and have 3 cats of my own. When I saw an advertisement for volunteering with Cats Protection it seemed ideal for me as I had been looking at various volunteer opportunities in the area.

I am currently involved in the fund raising activities for the branch which involves going to carnivals, fairs and promotion events selling items on the stall which raises funds and promotes the branch.  I get to meet all types of people and chat to them about their cats and hear their stories.  I have always enjoyed meeting people and thought this volunteering role would be a good opportunity for me within Cats Protection.

I have been registered as a volunteer now for nearly six months and have had a great time over the summer, going to events and places I had never been to before as well as making friends with other volunteers.
