You are here: Home > Volunteering > The committee

The committee

Running a CP branch takes lots of time and effort from the volunteers and like any other business, meetings are required to ensure everything comes together at the right place and time.

The committee (inset picture of committee meeting) is formed with various officers that are responsible for their own departments in the branch, Coordinator, Treasurer, Secretary, Welfare etc etc.  As the branch is formed of all volunteers it is important that all members are like minded people that have time to spend helping and raising money for the cats in care, unlike a paid occupation these people have to be dedicated.  We always urgently need volunteers even if they can only spare a couple of hours a week assisting, we can usually find them something to do, however, we do need commitment.  A volunteer that says they will be able to help on a job needs to keep to their word or cats could suffer.
