Byfleet Pets at Home supporting Cats Protection

In 2010, Pets At Home in Byfleet presented a cheque for 500 pounds to Woking CP coordinator Richard Dorling (pictured) as we have been nominated as their charity.Pets at Home launched the 'Support Adoption For Pets' scheme in order to promote the welfare of animals and to provide financial assistance for the benefit of the public in order to:
☺promote and encourage the re-homing of adoptable pets
☺support local animal charities and build community relationships
☺encourage responsible pet ownership
pets at home donation
Over the years, with the generous support of their customers, stores and suppliers, PAH has raised more than l.3million and made a real difference to the lives of thousands of pets in this country.
They are also keen to ensure that monies distributed to organisations have the potential to make the most difference. It is an essential part of the criteria that to show clearly how the funds will make a difference to animal welfare and, in particular, benefit and encourage the re-homing of pets. Pets At Home is a responsible store as they do not sell kittens or puppies and instead will direct the public to Cats Protection to adopt a cat.

On top of the annual donation Cats Protection Woking was awarded an additional 500 pounds to assist with ongoing veterinary costs. Pets At Home also run a Santa Paws appeal where a stocking is put up in the store for shoppers to donate something for a cat in need. We receive boxes of food and a selection of toys which are used by the fostering team.
