'Tegan settling in'
'I love cat watching from here'
'Our lucky black cat, thinking if she should venture out into the big wild world outside.'
'Tegan doing a spot of knitting and getting warmed up!!'
MARINA
'Here's the lovely Marina doing what she does best! She's been with us
for 6 or 7 weeks now and has taken on the job of being the boss of the
house. She starts the day by waking us up by chirping as loud as she
dares so that someone will eventually get up and open the back door for
her to go out and beat up the local moggies! Aswell as being boss of
the house, she is boss of the neighbourhood. After a spot of chasing
off any cat that dares to enter the garden, it's time to come back in,
have breakfast and then bed for the day! Then as soon as it gets dark,
she ventures out again for a bit more terrorising of the enemies
followed by worm/slug hunting. She then very kindly brings home
whatever she has caught and leaves it to wriggle/crawl across the
carpet. Lovely! But we love her to bits. She is not at all cuddly
being a very independant lady but she is more than happy to sleep on our
eldest daughters bed. It feels like she's been here forever - a very
nice feeling indeed.'
CHARLIE (FORMERLY LEROY)
'Charlie with Yorkshire Tea - thinking of putting this onto a mug for work or turning into useful Christmas pressies.'
'Happy for you to include
Charlie (was Leroy). From his history I don't think he was maltreated
etc but I guess it shows that whatever happened cats are are willing to
give us humans another chance. I can't imagine not having Charlie
around now he brings so much joy even when he's being naughty (sitting
on placemats on the dining table watching tv - naughty but extremely
funny!)'
JOHN AND JEFF (FORMERLY SEAMUS AND TRISTAN)
'John and Jeffrey (formerly known
as Tristan and Seamus) in their new home.... Bolder and braver than we imagined
and lots of purring already.'
'John and Jeffrey - Day 2 in new
home. Sticking together and still wary but comfy too. They have been enjoying
midnight play sessions when we have gone to bed :-) and are eating well. Cuddles
seem a long way off yet but looking forward to them when they do arrive
:-)'
'John (Tristan)
is the more lively and inquisitive one...He's definitely the boss :-) Jeffrey
(Seamus) is very laid back. Managed to stroke John while he was eating
today.'
'John is a cheeky, playful little
dude who eats anything :-) he looks after his brother and has so much energy,
initiating chasing games and enquiring into everything that goes on. He really
has so much character and brings us lots of entertainment. Yeah, he is the great escape artist. Whenever
he hears a door open, he is there!! Having to be very watchful as to his
whereabouts each time we leave / come home. He doesn't miss a trick! Funny
guy.'
'Jeff. The more chilled out brother. He is happy to sit around
and watch John run around the place. Big softie but can hold his own when John
starts to "box" him and play fight. Jeff has let us stroke him lots and is very
relaxed here. He eats well but is happy to let John eat his treats - not that he
gets much say in it :-) He is gorgeous.'
'Lots of nuzzling and cleaning each other. They also call out
for each other if one is in a different room and meet in the middle. At night
they spend hours chasing and playing.'
'2 happy boys. We have had them for 5 weeks now and they are
receptive to strokes and tickles anytime of day and night. They are very bold
and great characters. John has lots of 'dog like' traits to him :-) and Jeff is
so chilled out, though boxes his brother good and proper when they play
fight!'
'Yes had a great
Christmas thankyou. The boys were thoroughly spoilt with treats! They are doing
really well. Since July have taken each to the vets just once (fun and games in
itself trying to get them in their cat box :-) for antibiotics for bad colds. Other than that they have been healthy,
happy chaps. Both come a long way. We get lots of cuddles and Jeff sits on our
lap. They follow us everywhere, as well as enjoying outdoors and terrorising the
neighbourhood cats and we are convinced John is really a dog in disguise!
Regular updates in the new year...'
