Adoption Fee and Hands Free Homing

09 July 2020

Social distancing and rehoming - we've got this!

The Armagh Branch is proud to be a branch who now can offer "Hands-Free Homing". This approach has been brought about as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the need to keep our people and members of the public safe by contibuting to measures which are aimed at reducing the spread of Covid-19.

This new approach also helps us to ensure our cats needs are met and they are rehomed as soon as practicly possible in line with social distancing and government guidance.

To read more on Hands-Free Homing, visit our Adopt a Cat page.

Due to increased costs associated with re-homing our cats and kittens, our Adoption Fee is now £75

Our adoption fee includes:

  • a new carrier
  • Cat will be neutered (if a kitten, a neutering voucher is included)
  • Vaccinated
  • Microchipped
  • Flea and worm treated
  • 4 weeks free Pet Plan insurance
  • All necessary veterinary treatment will be given to ensure your new cat or kitten is fit and healthy before adoption.

We’re here to support you not only through the adoption process but as a new cat owner.   You’ll receive a follow-up call or email around three, seven and 14 days after the adoption to check that your cat is settling in well.  You’ll also find plenty of advice on our website at www.cats.org.uk/advice

Ensuring cats and kittens get the best new start we can possibly give then can be costly and we hope you agree that our adoption fee and pack are reasonable. Should an adopter wish to pay more, any amount over £75 will be treated as a donation to the Armagh Branch.

Thank you for your continued support!
