Betty's Garden Party 2011

Betty's Garden Party held on Saturday 6th August was a complete success! The rain managed to stay away and lots of supporters attended the event. There was a lot happening on the day, we had a raffle, tombola, new 2012 Cats Protection calendars and diraies for sale, bric a brac and more! The refreshements provided went down a treat- especially the bacon butties! We managed to raise a staggering £2,142 which is just amazing! A HUGE thanks to our supporters who came along and helped raise this amount. It will go a long way in helping our branch continue with its vital work of rescuing and rehoming cats and kittens. Also, a massive thanks to our volunteers who make these events possible!

Cats Protection were invited to Lowton St Marys Primary School on 15th July to accept a cheque for donations the school children had raised for our branch. A member of our team attended and gave a few words about the work we do. Felix went along too and was really excited to meet all the children and even popped into the classrooms to have a look around. He was very happy to receive a drink of milk at break time! Thank you so much to all the staff and children at Lowton St Marys Primary School for raising an amazing £350 for cats Protection, which will be put to good use helping all the cats and kittens in our care.

Green Fayre 2011
We had a glorious two days at Beacon Country Park's Green Fayre event on 23rd & 24th July. The sun shined all day long and we managed to raised £321 for the cats and kittens. A big thanks to all who attended and also to our volunteers who worked very hard in making the weekend a success.

Fun Day!

Thank you to everyone who came to visit our stall at the Worsley Park Marriott Hotel Family Fun Day on the 4th July and to the Marriott staff for making us feel so welcome. Our character cats Homer and Felix came along and helped give out goody bags to the children. Cat care leaflets and details of our lovely cats needing homes were given out and we are delighted to say some of our cats have found lovely new homes as a result of this event. A great big thank you to the Cats Protection volunteers who gave their time to help on the day. We all had a great time and met some lovely people.

May 2011 Bolton Canopy

At our May canopy held in Bolton town centre we managed to raise £477! A big thanks to all our dedicated volunteers who gave up their free time on such a lovely hot summers day to help raise money for the cats and for everyone who came along and purchased some of the items that we had on sale. We had a special little helper this month - Missy the pup! She managed to draw the people over to our stalls by just being so cute! Thanks Missy - hope you can make it next month?
