Support us

There are many ways you can support us and help us to help cats.

Firstly, you could adopt a cat!  The adoption process is explained in our Adopt a Cat page, where you can see all our cats.
You could also spread the word!  The more people who know about what we do and where we are, the better!
Another way to help us is to bequest.  Considering us in your will makes an enormous difference, and lets us continue our work to help cats.  Go to www.cats.org.uk/legacy for details.
You can volunteer at Axhayes...details follow!
Finally, we have a Friends Of group, who help raise vital funds for the Centre...details below!

Volunteering

At Cats Protection we welcome volunteers with open arms.  Whatever your skills, or however much time you have to offer, we'll find the right role for you to help us to care for thousands of cats and kittens every year.

At Axhayes we have people who volunteer as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award, and students studying animal care courses.  Some people like to come in during our opening hours to socialise and groom the cats, some come in earlier and help the staff to clean the pens.  We have recently set up a Friends Of group who help raise the profile of the Centre, and do fundraising events and projects.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us on 01395 232377.  We're grateful for your help!

Friends of Axhayes

Would you like to become a Friend of Axhayes?  Our Friends of Axhayes Adoption Centre is a group of volunteers who organise fundraising events and activities to raise money for the Centre.

We cannot carry out our vital work of rehoming and helping  hundreds of cats every year, without funds, so by becoming a fundraising volunteer you could really be at the forefront of helping cats in your area.

If you have a passion for cats and can spend some time to fundraise or be an advocate of the charity's work, then we would love to hear from you!

Thanks to our Friends Of group, we have held coffee mornings at the Centre and done street collections, as well as high-profile events like our Easter Eggstravaganza (which will be happening again this year as it was so successful) and the Fire Walk we did in November.  If you would like to get involved, please call us on 01395 232377.  Thank-you..
