Cats Protection Belfast Adoption Centre, is one of 29 adoption centres throughout the Cats Protection UK network.
We provide a safe and loving environment for cats brought into our care and in addition to this we provide information on cat care and neutering.
At any one time we can have up to 170 cats and kittens in our care, all waiting patiently for a new home.
We rely on you! If you are considering adopting a cat or a kitten please call us on 028 9048 0202.
The phones are very busy so if you can leave us a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.
Education at Cats Protection
We offer free interactive workshops for 4-11 year olds in schools and youth groups/clubs across . This is part of a programme to increase awareness amongst young people of the correct needs and treatment of cats as both pets and strays.
As well as covering cat care, older participants will also be given the opportunity to consider the consequences of human actions on animals by discussing some of the things that might impact on how cats feel, for instance the extensive use of fireworks around Halloween time and what we all can do to limit an animal’s anxiety during this period. All students will be presented with a Cats Protection certificate and goody bag.
Teachers will also be provided with follow-up material which supports this learning.
If you are interested in finding out more about what we have to offer or hosting a workshop, please feel free to contact Claire Goodwin via email or on the numbers below.
Alternatively do you have good communication skills and want to use them for a worthwhile cause? Why not become a Cats Protection Volunteer Speaker?
We look forward to hearing from you.
