We are hearing increasingly worrying reports about the side effects of supermarket purchased flea treatments. Loss of hair, fitting and scabbing/sores are the most common. There have even been fatalities.
Please only obtain your flea and worm treatments from a veterinary surgeon. It may be far more costly but it is also far more effective and decidedly safer.
Names to look out for are Milbemax and Drontal for worms. Frontline, Stronghold and Advocate for fleas. Vets may stock others they deem suitable.
A limited selection of both parasite treatments can be found also in Pharmacies in supermarkets, but not from the shelf.
