URGENT APPEAL...
Birmingham Cats Protection have recently been contacted by an elderly lady who has received some unfortunate news regarding her beloved cats. Her furry companions have been diagnosed with Feline Herpes, and because this condition can be transmitted to other cats, this means they can not be let loose outdoors. Being elderly, and somewhat disabled, with no personal help, other than her daughter, who also happens to be disabled, she contacted Cats Protection in desperation.
Always willing to help, we hatched an idea that meets this lady's needs - a set of pens in her back garden with access to an enclosed run would be the perfect solution to keep her cats safe and secure and limit their interaction with other cats.
However, a set of these pens is prohibitably expensive for a disabled pensioner, so Birmingham Cats Protection is putting out an appeal for anyone who has a redundant or unused set of these pens in their own garden that they would wish to see put back into use - in order to help this lady and her poor cats.
Birmingham Cats Protection are willing to help with the dismantling and transportation of any suitable pens that become available, and we have contacted a local builder to help erect them in their new home.
Any of the "Lindee Lu" style pens, or those of a similar construction would be ideal - we would be be grateful for any suitable offers of assistance. Please contact us on 01564 822 020 or through this website HERE
