Open Day Sucess-£3,000 profit!

Our Open Day on the 4th September was a resounding success with over £3,000 profit raised for the Bredhurst cats. So, many, many thanks to all of you who were able to attend. Of course te event is also about raising awreness of the work of the Adoption Centre and all the many cats in need of help. With the gate entry figures up on last year, depsite the rain, and with the publicity provided in the press and on the BBC, with BBC South East TV presenter Rob Smith doing a grand job opening proceedings for us, news of the Centre has spread!

With bargains galore on the bric-a-brac, book and Cats Protection branch stands, with arena entertainment from local entertainers and social gruops, with new special events for children and not forgetting a chance to see the cats there was something for everyone. Refreshments were top notch with ice-creams, barbeque and new this year the wonderful homemade cakes of the Gillingham Evening WI. We are hoping the WI will be able to help the cats again by attending our Christmas Bazaar on Saturday 26th November at St.Matthews Community Hall from 11am to 2pm, which will also be another opportunity to stock up on your Christmas cards, 2012 calendars and diaries-all of which went like hot cakes at the Open Day!

We would like to say a massive THANK YOU for your continued support of the Bredhurst Adoption Centre and it's feline residents.
