Update from Tibby

We have received this update on how Tibby is enjoying her new home:

I've been meaning to send you an update on Tibby for a while now, so apologies for the delay.

We adopted Tibby back in August this year and from day one she’s settled in really well.  After bringing her home it was only after a couple of hours of hiding she wanted to explore the house, that was an amazing sight; she was like one of those police sniffer dogs, checking out every little corner and jumping onto every table, chair, and surface in the house.

A few weeks later I allowed her to go outside in the garden, actually I was a little worried she’d go walkabout, but she didn’t go far.  Again it was like another world for her and she spent most of the time in the garden when it was warm.  Now she very much prefers to be indoors due to the cold.

Tibby is very playful so we bought her a number of toys but she only seems interested in a simple piece of string, certainly her favourite.   Strange habit – When I'm sitting on the sofa watching TV she’ll jump and push her nose right under my arm, then start clawing the cushion and dribbling while purring loudly, maybe it’s by deodorant that attracts her?  Anyway, it’s certainly a very amusing sight and she seems to be enjoying herself.
Tibby has also learnt that if she wants attention (or feeding) during the night she’ll jump onto the touch sensitive lamp by my bed, thereby switching it on and waking me up.

Overall Tibby is great, she’s a very friendly cat and loves attention which suits me because I enjoy the company as I’m working from home 3 days per week – so she gets lots of attention.  She’s very inquisitive and surprised me when I lifted some floorboards, she was immediately exploring the small void above the ceiling!
