MADDY

Like my new bed?We first found out about Maddy when the vets contacted us.  A lady had taken Maddy to them, saying that she was a stray and was having a lot of fits.  Although the vets found nothing wrong with her, the lady refused to take her back to where she came from.

Our branch was then contacted and Maddy came to stay at one of our foster homes.  She has been in our care for a long time and as she is an older cat, we began to wonder whether she would ever be rehomed.

Fortunately, a lady from Burnley was looking for an older cat to take care of.  Eileen is disabled and wanted company as she had not long lost her beloved Siamese boy, Simon, aged 22.  Her daughter contacted us and we immediately thought of Maddy!

A volunteer took Maddy over to her new home, she immediately came out of the  basket and settled down on her chosen rug to have a wash!  She knew she was home!

Maddy has settled in very well and doesn’t mind Eileen’s wheelchair.  Eileen loves to knit and Maddy likes to help too – however, she hasn’t got the hang of tidying up afterwards!
