We always need volunteers to help with fundraising - usually manning a stall at local events or street collections etc. If you can offer an hour or two of your time, usually on a Saturday, please ring 01543 428 148 or fill in the web-form below.
Volunteers
We are always looking for volunteers to help with the many tasks involved in running the Branch - even if you can only spare a few hours a week, your help would be most welcome! There are many and varied roles within a CP Branch - fundraising, admin work, fostering.... the list is endless. The more volunteers we have, the more we can do to help needy cats in our area.
Fundraisers
Running a Branch is costly - on average it costs £70 to care for each cat we take in.... we need to raise funds to cover these costs. Can you help? Our branch is self-supporting so we raise funds to pay for this by holding jumble sales, street collections and other activities. We are always on the look-out for good quality items such as bric-a-brac, toys and household items to sell at our fund-raising events. If you have ideas on other ways we could raise funds, we would love to hear from you. (Preferably with the words "I would like to organise..." rather than "Why don't you do this idea...")
Fosterers
At present we have a limited number of Fosterers, which means we can only take in a small number of cats at any one time - our Waiting List is always full. New Fosterers receive full training, their cat-care costs are met by the Branch.
