The St Ives & Chatteris District branch of Cats Protection has many cats looking for new homes.
Some of the cats arrive at the branch as strays; others are unwanted or simply abandoned.
Some cats come from loving homes that due to circumstances are unable to care for them any longer.
Between coming into the charity and being rehomed each cat, at a minimum:-
- has at least two vet health checks
- is neutered if over four months old
- is micro-chipped
- is treated for fleas & worms
- if necessary, given a blood test.
An adoption fee of £60 is made to contribute towards veterinary costs, often over £200 per cat.
The welfare of the cats is our top priority and the branch always visits prospective owners first to make sure of the best possible home.
Cats Protection never put a healthy cat to sleep.
If you can offer a home to any of the cats, or want to volunteer to help the branch, please call 01480 465226.
