We will be at the Bocking fayre on Monday 7th May , why not come and say hello if you are going to be there, we love to hear stories especially about our cats you have homed from us. If you are one of our supporters or would like to be we would love to meet you.
APRIL
What a damp month April turned out to be, but what a great month for homing cats here at Chelmsford, we homed 33 cats during March and took in 29 cats for rehoming. Lots of lovely cats still looking for new homes so please pop in and see us, who will you be going home with?
Have you checked out our latest selection of Sponsor Cats? I am sure there will be one that catches your eye, visit our sponsor page to see who is waiting for your help.
Our Spring Fayre at the Shire Hall on 14th April raised £689.46, well done to everyone involved and those who came along to support, this figure is slightly higher than last years which is great news for our cats.
We homed three of our lovely older cats this month, Tiger, Honey and Grace, who are all their twilight years found lovely new homes. Taking on an older cat takes someone special, these lucky three have found those special owners, we do like a happy ending here at Chelmsford.
Jake and Jess have gone to their new home this month, these poor cats have been homed and returned seven times, we are keeping our fingers crossed that this is their forever home, much as we love you Jake and Jess, we do not want to see you back here.
MARCH
We have been busy in the evenings with groups of scouts, beavers, brownies and rainbows. An evening of fun including a treasure hunt, a tour of the centre and a quiz has proved to be very popular with our groups. If you would like to bring a group to the centre or would like us to come out and give a talk, please call us on 01425 478389 and ask for Kieron.
The Jumble sale at Danbury was well attended and an amazing £542.10 was made, the best ever for this event, a big thank you to everyone involved and who came along for all the bargains.
Rowlf went home! when this very sad elderly cat who was deaf and had limited sight came in, we feared he would be ages before finding a home, but he was soon snapped up. A cheeky little chappie who certainly get around and does not let any disabilities get in his way, another happy ending.
FEBRUARY
A big THANK YOU to the 1st Writtle Rainbows who visited the centre in February with a box of goodies for our cats. Some lovely treats for our kittys, which they certainly all seemed to enjoy.
A dismal 11 cats found homes this month, how sad for those still waiting here. We took in an amazing 49 cats, now we just need to home them, please come and see us!
