Cherwell Cats Protection was formed in 2006 and covers Bicester, Banbury, Brackley and the surrounding villages. The Branch's activities include:
Cat rescue - fostering & re-homing - part cost/full cost neutering - lost and found register - free advice on all aspects of cat care.
We are a relatively small branch with limited resources in both personnel and finances and rely on a group of enthusiastic volunteers supported by our own fund-raising, plus donations from the public. The branch membership is £5.00 per year and we also run a 100 club with £25, £10 and £5 prizes paid out every month. If you would like to become a member, join the 100 club, send in a donation or sponsor a cat or a cat cabin please go to the Support Us page or ring or email us.
The Branch Committee headed by the Branch Coordinator, determines the policies of the Branch and meets on a monthly basis to review cat welfare issues, re-homing, fund-raising and other business. As a team we rescue, neuter, foster, rehabilitate and re-home on average about three cats and kittens each month but we expect this figure to increase significantly. Our foster homes cater for tiny kittens and their mums, larger kittens, adult neutered cats and cats needing treatment.
This is all down to the hard work and dedication of some 'die hard' volunteers. Think you could help increase these numbers? If so then Contact Us <http://www.cherwell.cats.org.uk/index.asp?m=contact>

Fosterers needed
We are appealing for people who love cats and fancy a new challenge to become a cat fosterer for the charity. Cat fostering is hands on cat welfare work. Cat fosterers look after felines on a short term basis, either in cat pens in their garden or a spare room in their home. Becoming a cat fosterer can be very rewarding as it is a great chance to make a difference to the life of a needy feline while they are waiting to find a new home. People from all walks of life who can spare some time are encouraged to contact the branch which provides an essential cat rehoming service in the local area.
