The tale of Bella, formerly Lola, and Sampson

Lola came to us as a very cross two year old. She was given up by her owners as she was scratching and biting the children. She was so sure we were going to hurt her and, until we had built up the trust, no way was she having anything to do with us.

We spent many hours sitting with her until eventually she decided to sit on our laps. She learnt how to purr and just loved having her head scrumbled. Occasionally she would still take an odd nip but since she has been adopted by a wonderful couple, June and Cyril, she loves to be cuddled and sit on a lap and is now called Bella.

These very good people decided they could give another needy cat a home. They came to us again and this time met Sampson. Now he had been a real bruiser when he was a stray and had attacked several cats belonging to the lady who was feeding him, which is why she could not keep him. He spent a very long time in a pen and had slowly begun to lose his confidence. He desperately needed a home and company to liven him up.

June and Cyril fell in love with Sampson and now he lives happily with them and Bella. Who would have thought that two so very cross and unhappy cats could live together amicably. It just shows what love and affection can achieve.
