From Haywards Heath |
Haywards Heath is on the Brighton Main Line and East Coastway. Details of both Southern Rail Services can be found at www.southernrailway.com/route_info/route_info.shtml.
Catch the 270 Bus* from the bus stop on Perrymount Road.
(Exit the front entrance of the station, turn right up the hill. At the roundabout bear right up the first road [you don't need to cross this road, stay on the right]. The bus stop is about 50 metres up this road.)
Stay on the bus through Lindfield, Horsted Keynes, Danehill and Chelwood Common.
Get off the bus at the Chelwood Gate, Red Lion stop on the A275 opposite the Red Lion pub (after you turn right out of Beaconsfield Road)
It is then a five minute walk to The National Cat Centre, follow the brown signs marked "Cats Protection NCC". We are at the top of Isle of Thorns.

A Southern service*, on the Redhill, Tonbridge & Oxted Line (Trains stop at London Bridge, London Victoria, Clapham Junction, East Croydon, Purley, Redhill, Reigate, Tonbridge, Oxted, East Grinstead, Crowborough and Uckfield).
Catch the 270 Bus* from just outside East Grinstead railway station.
Stay on the bus through East Grinstead, Ashurstwood, Forest Row and Wych Cross. (After Wych Cross the bus bears right onto the A275).
After about a mile of straight road, get off the bus at the Chelwood Gate, Red Lion stop (still on the A275) in front of the Red Lion pub.
It is then a five minute walk to The National Cat Centre, follow the brown signs marked "Cats Protection NCC". We are at the top of Isle of Thorns.
