The NCC - travelling

From the east: (A26, A229/A265/A272, A271, A259)

There are a variety of routes from the east (including the A26 from Tunbridge Wells, the A229 becoming the A265 then A272 from Maidstone and the A271 and A259 (becomes the A27) from Battle and Hastings respectively. The majority of the routes converge at Uckfield, so the subsequent directions are from there.

Travel along your chosen A-road westward until you pick up the A22 (northbound), skirting the town of Uckfield.

Continue on the A22 through the village of Nutley.

Take the last left hand turn before the Wych Cross traffic lights. This is the A275 towards Lewes and Chelwood Gate. (If you pass the Roebuck Hotel on your right, you've gone too far)!

After approximately one mile of straight road, take a left turn (look out for “New Road Layout” signs and a central waiting island for cars arriving from the south) into the National Cat Centre grounds. (Please note the entrance is not obvious from the road and comes upon you quickly. You will need to drive slowly in order not to miss it).

The entrance road is quite narrow in places and has a speed limit of 10mph. Please observe this speed limit for your own safety and that of other road users. Many thanks.
