From the south/west: (A272 eastbound via Haywards Heath)

Pick up the A272 eastbound. This can be found from the A23, Haywards Heath/Bolney exit. From the A31 near Winchester (off the M3); the A3 at Petersfield and from the A24 just south of Horsham.

Follow the signs to Haywards Heath (A272).

On the outskirts of the town you will come to two mini roundabouts in very quick succession. Go straight across the first and at the second bear left towards the train station (The Dolphin pub should be on your left).

Follow the road towards the station/Lindfield; it becomes one way. Landmarks to note are Sainsburys on your left, under a bridge, the station on your right and a roundabout straight ahead.

At this roundabout take the second exit signposted to Lindfield. Going downhill you'll reach another roundabout; take the second exit again towards Lindfield and Ardingly (B2028). Cross two sets of lights and a mini roundabout onto Lindfield high street.

Once through Lindfield stay on the B2028 as it climbs uphill for about 1½ miles. At the top of the hill do a right onto Stonecross Lane towards Horsted Keynes. You are not on this road for long, stop and turn left when you reach the junction.

Follow the road to and through Horsted Keynes, after the village take the first right, Danehill Lane. At the very end of this road turn left and join the A275 northbound towards Chelwood Gate and Forest Row.

After about two miles you will come to Chelwood Gate. Go past the right-hand turning for Sandy Lane. After the Red Lion and BMW Garage take the right hand turn into the National Cat Centre grounds (look out for “New Road Layout” signs and a central waiting island for cars arriving from the south). (Please note the entrance is not obvious from the road and comes upon you quickly. You will need to drive slowly in order not to miss it).

The entrance road is quite narrow in places and has a speed limit of 10mph. Please observe this speed limit for your own safety and that of other road users. Many thanks.
