Adopt a cat

Offering a new pet a home is always a big decision, many cats can now live into their late teens or even into their early twenties! A cat is for life and should be seen as a long term commitment.

Each cat and kitten has its own individual personality, they can make wonderful companions and very rewarding pets.

If you have decided that the time is right to bring a cat into your family then please contact the Adoption Centre or pay us a visit any day of the week.

The Centre is open everyday between 11am - 4pm.

Before going to a new home every cat in our care is:

  • fully health checked by the vet
  • treated for fleas and worms
  • vaccinated
  • microchipped
  • neutered
  • homed with 4 weeks free pet insurance

The average cost of looking after a cat in our care can reach well over £150 and that doesn't include any other neccessary treatment. Cats Protection recieve no government funding and therefore rely solely on the members of the public to ensure that adoption centres like  ours can continue their work.

Cats protection asks adopters for a fee when rehoming a cat/kitten. If you feel able to make a donation on top of the fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. We know times are hard so thank you for your decision to rehome a CP cat !
