Volunteering

Cumnock & Doon Valley branch are always looking for volunteers as without them the branch cannot function. We appreciate any help you can give whether it is working hands on with our cats or a background role. Here are just a selection of the help we are looking for.

Fostering
This is a very rewarding position and is one of the main functions within the branch as without fosterers we cannot take cats into our care. If you have space in your garden we will provide you with a fully kitted out shelter, or if you prefer, if you have a spare room which can be dedicated for us only then this could be your other option. Cats Protection have high standards of care for our animals and our Welfare Officer will expect you to meet these. The branch will supply you with everything you will require to care for your cats so it will cost you nothing but your time. If you can drive and have access to your own transport this will be a bonus for the branch.

Fund Raiser
Our Fund Raising Officer is always in need of enthusiastic people to help out at events, come up with new ideas, as this is where a lot of our funds come from.

If you are still interested in volunteering call us on 0345 3714219 or complete the form below.

Volunteer treasurer

At Cats Protection we help thousands of cats each year thanks to our dedicated and passionate volunteer groups and teams, all of which help our feline friends in a different ways. They take in stray and abandoned cats and ensure they receive the veterinary care and attention they deserve, help raise funds, promote neutering and help spread cat welfare messages. Our volunteer treasurers maintain the finances of local groups and teams, ensuring they hold the funds needed to continue their vital work. Cats Protection relies solely on donations from generous members of the public, and our volunteer treasurers help make sure these funds are spent in the most effective way.
