Neutering

Having your cat neutered is one of the most important parts of being a responsible pet owner. One un-neutered female cat can be responsible for 20,000 descendents in five years and with around 2.5 million stray cats living in the UK why add to that? And it's not just the females who need neutering, un-neutered males are more likely to roam, fight, spray and contract and spread FIV and FeLV.

Cats Protection recommends neutering your cat from the age of four months but you should speak to your vet and ask their advice about each individual cat.

We can help with the cost of neutering for owners on a low wage or state benefits, for more information please call us on 01332 824950. The vouchers that we have are worth £20 towards a male castrate and £26 towards a female spay and can be used at your own vets.
