Simba's story so far

MESSAGE FROM  JESSIE    (AKA   SIMBA)

Dear friends at Dereham Adoption Centre
Thank you for your e-mail and telephone call, I am writing to let you know how I am settling into my new pad.
A bit of a shaky start, I was very nervous with the new surroundings and people.  As you know I am very timid and how I like to hide under my blanket!
However, I feel much better now, my new home is warm and on the whole quieter than my stay with you (no building work here). Food is good – great news is they keep letting me try different things to see what I like.

As far as the living accommodation goes – it’s nice. I started in the kitchen, utility and dining room, progressed to the lounge and found more hiding places (I do love a game of hide and seek).   Upstairs is especially good; so many places to explore and snuggle down, just found the airing cupboard ..took them a long time to find me there!! Being black, it’s only when I open my eyes that they have any chance of finding me.  I have discovered that I can make them jump by sitting in the bottom of the wardrobe and jumping out when least expected  - it’s very funny, although I think they may be starting to get used to my tricks. Never mind, I’ll just have to move on to a new game ………….  they might lose interest if we only play hide and seek.

I have realised that they love it when I act cute and play at this…..  see ..........

Laying on my back and washing always gets an “aaaah, look at her”
Another week or so and I think I’ll make my way out into the garden and check it out.  I have been watching the birds strutting around like they own the place – boy are they in for a surprise.

My new family is kind and love me very much.  They feed me each day, give me lots of  attention, love it when I act a little scatty and clean up after me.   Thank you for finding me a lovely new home....What more could a pussy cat want?

Love Jessie xx
