As Shakespeare very nearly said - In Spring a young cat's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love!
This is the time of year that tom cats start to get frisky, resulting 9 weeks later in kittens just as the weather is starting to turn warmer. So if you have an unneutered cat please think about having him or, especially her, neutered sooner rather than later!
If paying for the op is a problem please give our helpline (07749 713142) a call. We can offer extensive support. You should be thinking about neutering your cat from four and a half months old. We have seen far too many mums with kittens who can only have been 7 months old when they gave birth! If your vet won't neuter early please look at the main Cats Protection website where you will find the name of a vet who will. (www.cats.org.uk>What we do>Neutering>Find an early neutering vet)
