At this time of year when kittens are in plentiful supply prospective adopters usually overlook the mums and go for the cute kittens. However, the mums make wonderful pets. Usually they have had a rough and unhappy start in life and are grateful to be in a warm home with regular food. Not having had the chance to be kittens themselves they make up for lost time and enjoy play. They will repay your kindness tenfold.

Too often they stay with us long after their kittens have gone to new homes when they should be enjoying a loving home of their own. Remember they come neutered, microchipped and vaccinated so there will be no more kittens for them.
