Daisy's Diary

Daisy was adopted from the Eastbourne Adoption Centre in September 2011 and this is her report since leaving the Centre.

My name is Daisy and I thought I would send this in so that everyone who knew me at the adoption centre can find out how I am getting on and to let fellow rescue cats know that it's not too bad at all being rehomed!

I now live in a house with no stairs! it's great.... I believe they call it a bungalow but it certainly saves all that running up and down the staircase to wake mum and dad up to feed me. I am allowed to go anywhere in my home and can go outside into the garden whenever I like and I have one of those microchip cat flaps. I understand that they put the cat flap in so that only I can come in, so party time has to be round someone else's house!

I have had a medical problem which I won't bore you with but I now have to eat urinary food all the time. It's actually very nice although the wet food was not so good so am happy to be on dry, also mum does give me some tuna on a regular basis which is rather lovely.

I have settled in fairly well I think and do my best to get as much attention as I possibly can from mum, dad and all their friends and family that come round.

There are so many places that I can sleep and some of these include the back of the sofa's in the lounge, the chairs in the conservatory, my special feline tower with birds eye nest on top and of course my/their bed!!! The other trick of course is to try and sit on them when they are watching TV and generally making a nuisance of myself to get attention!!

Basically being rehomed is fab and I am so happy and look forward to many many years of being spoilt.

So to all you cats and kittens out there in rescue centres....

never fear there is always a better life out there whatever your situation is or has been and on the whole most humans are pretty good you just need to find the right ones

Regards

Daisy Duke (with a little help from mum Vicki Kemp)
