Sarson (Now Samson) Homed December 2011

We wanted to send you news and pictures of our lovely boy Samson, who we adopted.

Samson in a blanket

Samson is now completely one of the family and is the most affectionate little boy ever. He purrs constantly and loves to have his tummy rubbed. He doesn't like sleeping in his new bed but much prefers the bottom shelf of Jon's wardrobe or of course our bed, in particular he likes to sleep on my pillow.

He is getting on very well with our other cat Millie - I think she thinks she is his mummy. We are keeping him upstairs for a few days and when he first came she kept scratching at the door to meet him and now they either play chase or lay on our bed together relaxing.

Things have also settled with Samson and ginger Buster. Buster wasn't overly impressed with him at first and hissed at him a few times, then ignored him completely. Now they play chase around and up the curtains (!!!) a game that they all seem to think is jolly good fun but not nearly as much fun as chase up and down the Christmas tree (no lights on our tree this year) or over and under the Christmas paper.

Samson and Millie

It will be good when he can have the run of the house but we are taking things slowly which I think is probably why things are working so well. Jon and I have both agreed that there is definitely room for another little one in our household and are now looking to home one of Samson’s brothers

Tiny (Now Willow) and Simba. Homed March 2011
Hello, Simba

I’m Simba, and a few weeks ago me and my best friend Tiny found ourselves in the unfortunate position of not having a home of our own and had to live in a pen for a while where we were cared for by a lovely lady called Julie. It was very nice and we were warm and cosy and well fed, but we really needed a home to call our own and our Very Own Human. As Tiny was a bit shy we were overlooked until one day some lovely people came to visit us and decided to take us home to live with them in their house as part of their family, not just one, but Willowthree of our Very Own Humans!

We now have a home of our own and Tiny has a new name, Willow, which we both like much better. We spent the first two weeks at our new home getting to know the house and our new family before we were allowed outside. Now we go out to play in the garden but don’t venture far as we have lots to explore and don’t like to leave our new human companions for long and always come when they call us because we are getting quite fond of them.

Purrs, Simba and Willow
