2012 - the 30th anniversary of Gosport Cats Protection

This year is set to be just as busy for Gosport Cats Protection as last year. 2011 saw us face a huge increase in the number of unwanted cats and kittens and a noticeable increase in requests for us to take in pregnant cats. We started the New Year taking a pregnant stray into care and the requests for the charity to take young kittens into care continues.

Cats Protection champions neutering as the only effective way to reduce the number of unwanted cats in the UK but sadly the message doesn't always get through. Having run a £5 neutering campaign during October 2011 we feel it necessary to run another campaign during May 2012. 

Just ring us on 02392 582601 between 01/05/12 and 31/05/12 and you could get your cat or kitten neutered for only £5, Cats Protection pay the rest. This offer is open to people living in the PO12, PO13 and PO14 areas who receive state benefits or otherwise on a restricted income. The neutering operation for your cat / kitten must be booked with the participating vet (of which there are several in the Gosport and Stubbington area) by 30/06/12.

£5 doesn’t buy much nowadays but Gosport Cats Protection is offering owners of unneutered cats the opportunity to invest in their pet’s health and wellbeing by having their cat neutered for just £5.

There is always a long waiting list of cats needing to come into our care. As soon as one cat is happily rehomed there's always another feline needing to come into care. However we remain positive and continue to work together for the welfare of all cats as Gosport branch has done over the last 30 years.
