All hands to the pump as volunteers and customers turned out in force, thank you everyone, to our Christmas Fayre at the Parish Centre, Alverstoke on 12/11/11. They say an army marches on its stomach and Jane and Trish were kept busy serving refreshments throughout the afternoon. As soon as the doors opened it was pretty constant at all the stall tables and sales were made until the grand raffle signalled the end of the fayre. The cake stall was sold out early, the ‘Christmas room’ was a squeeze at times it was so popular, Ann sold all her tickets on the ‘name the cuddly fox’ game (the winning answer was ‘Whisper’), CP diaries and cards were popular and there’s bound to be a lot of happy cats as catnip mice were flying out the door! A special mention to Rosie for helping out even though she had her foot in plaster and to Derek for adding a certain style to the proceedings resplendent in his Fort Cumberland guard uniform. It was great too that so many owners of newly adopted CP cats were at the fayre. A lovely atmosphere and a magnificent £906.28 raised on the day which is slightly up from last year and much needed as there are so many cats needing our help.
A big thank you to everyone who helped and supported our 2011 Christmas fayre.
A further £150 was raised from our stall at the Locks Heath Christmas Fayre on Saturday 26th November 2011. A big thank you to Mollie & David for their time and effort at this event.
