Would you like a cat but worried about the responsibility and/or cost?

Have you considered fostering a CP cat?
Fostering a cat allows you to temporarily home a cat while Cats Protection retains the responsibility.
Usually a fosterer takes just one or maybe two cats indoors in their own home.
We still own the cat and pay all of  the bills, that is we pay for food, toys,  litter and Vets bills.
Note that CP cats must be kept separate from any of your own cats, so indoor  fostering is best for
people that don’t have their own cat.

Whats the catch?
Fostering can be long term but it is a usually short term fix until we can find a new home for the cat,
so we hope that after a few weeks of your TLC the cat will move on to a permanent home.
This means that you will need to part with your new friend, but don’t worry there will be another one along very soon.

We will also need to make arrangements for prospective adopters to view ‘your’ cat.But otherwise there is no catch, we  still own and are responsible for the cat, we stay in touch.

Please Help Us  - Your Donations are Greatly Appreciated!

It costs lots of money each day to keep a cat at one of our fosterers homes -  in addition to all the basics such as food, litter, heating, we have to pay for all the medical bills, plus the flea treatments, blood tests, neutering, vaccinations and microchips, amongst other things!

This is why we rely so heavily on the kindness and generosity of the local people!
Therefore if you feel you would like to make a donation or set up a standing order to help us, please contact our treasurer.  Alternatively for donations just click on the donate button.
please call 0845 371 2736 or call head office 03000 121212
