Keep your cat safe

During the winter icy conditions, many people are adding antifreeze to their vehicles.

Many animals find the taste of antifreeze very attractive, and ingesting even the smallest amount can lead to kidney failure and death, especially in cats.

The RSPCA is supporting the Blue Death campaign, calling for a bittering agent to be added to antifreeze products to make them unpalatable to pets.

You can help by signing the online petition to ask the government to pass a UK legislation forcing manufacturers to routinely add a bitterant to antifreeze, and preventing the sale of any antifreeze products without a bitterant additive. Sign the e-Petiton.
