Adopt a cat
Adopt a Cat
Before any cat in our care is rehomed it has been examined by a vetenary surgeon, been fully vaccinated, treated against fleas and worms, microchipped, tested for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) / FELV (Feline Leukaemia Virus) and neutered (for kittens that are not old enough to be neutered, a full cost neutering voucher will be issued.)
Each adopted cat or kitten is given
4 weeks free pet insurance with Pet Plan (terms and conditions apply).
The fee for adopting a cat or kitten from the
North East Lincolnshire & District Cats Protection £75 and the fee for adopting a kitten is £95.
On average, the work that we do per cat or kitten costs £180 per cat in our care so any additional donations are gratefully appreciated and will be used to help more cats.
Home Visit
Before you can adopt, you would normally need to have a short informal home visit by one of our volunteers. However due to Covid we have adopted a Hands Free way of homing.
We do all we can to ensure that the cat(s) or kitten(s) we rehome, will be suited to your home, family and lifestyle.
If you live in rented accommodation, you must obtain written consent from your landlord to keep pets at the property.
When getting in touch, please make sure that you give your name, full address including your postcode, a contact telephone number and, if possible, an email address as we require these before starting any adoption process.
Adopt with Confidence
Cats Protection Grimsby & District Branch always has cats in need of loving homes.
All of our cats are vet checked,
neutered (if old enough, if not they are issued with a full cost neutering voucher)
they are fully vaccinated, microchipped, up to date with their flea and worm treatment,
blood tested for FIV & FeLV and
they come with 4 weeks free insurance (terms & conditions apply)
giving you invaluable peace of mind and reassurance
as you and your cat embark upon this lifelong friendship.
Unless there is a compelling reason discussed, we would never knowingly allow a cat to be adopted without the above essential veterinary needs for its health, comfort and safety.
